It's amazing how people think they're living in an oppressive fascist
dictatorship yet somehow manage to get full access to the media and the
Internet to spread their message. They never realize how much of a
contradiction that is.

If America were as much of a dictatorship as you and Barbara Boxer seem
to think it is, then both of you would be in a Gitmo detention cell by now.

I don't see it as a contradiction at all. Who but the truly oppressed
are going to work hardest in order to GET their message out? The fact
that the internet exists makes it much easier now to be hear but
internet access doesn't exist because of governmental largesse. The
internet is available world wide and operates much to the chagrin of
truly repressive regimes, such as those in China and North Korea. In
our own country the people HAVE become more oppressed over the years,
there's no denying that. The passage of every bill into law either
limits, curtails, or ends something (a right, freedom, etc.) that once
existed. We may still be The Land Of The Free, we're just not as free
as we USED to be.......

And who exactly represents the "truly oppressed" in the USA?

And what evidence do you have of "oppression" in the US? Cutting off
federally funded welfare to niggers who need to buy crack instead of
food for their illegitimate kids is not a form of "oppression."

Well, if Einstein's Theory of Relativity taught us nothing else it at
least showed that everything is a matter of perspective. In your
example, with you being outside looking in, the welfare recipients
aren't being oppressed by having their funding cut off. Inside,
however, it's a different story, as the money/crack is now being
denied them. They see their situation as being DEFINITELY oppresed. If
you need further clarification of this theory I suggest you head into
the poorer section of your nearest large metropolitan area sometime
around dusk, stand on a steet corner and announce VERY loudly the
following:" Hi. My name is (state your name) and I'm here from the
welfare office to tell all you (N-word goes here, plural) that you'll
no longer be receiving your monthly crack funds. If any of you
(N-word, plural) are feeling oppressed about this please feel free to
come over and talk to me about it. Thank you." Make sure you come back
to the group and give us your new perspective.......

First of all, that's not a logic suggestion, because you know those
animals would attack you like the savage beasts they are. It's like
taking food away from starving animals, driven only by the instinct to

there's no denying that. The passage of every bill into law either
limits, curtails, or ends something (a right, freedom, etc.) that once
existed. We may still be The Land Of The Free, we're just not as free
as we USED to be.......
AMEND to that ...
Sticking up for Boxer is sheer nonsense. The link given links to a
thousand other links so I don't know what she said but I find it
inconceivable to believe it wasn't a purely hysterical partisan rant
which bears little relevance to actual problems.
In short Boxer is an idiot, so is the entire left coast, so are all
Demo's, Not that Repub's aren't either, just the others are bigger

I was going to respond to your post point by point but upon reading
the last paragraph decided not to bother. I WILL respond to your
second to last paragraph, however, since it implies that I was
"sticking up for Boxer". The day I stick up for ANY politician you can
take me out back and shoot me, and I'll even supply the gun. I didn't
read the links either, because I had no interest in them. I was
responding to a nonsensical bullshit statement made by Steven L. in a
follow-up post. Of course, I wouldn't expect you to get that aspect of
your post right, either.....

It's amazing how people think they're living in an oppressive fascist
dictatorship yet somehow manage to get full access to the media and the
Internet to spread their message. They never realize how much of a
contradiction that is.
I don't see it as a contradiction at all. Who but the truly oppressed
are going to work hardest in order to GET their message out? The fact
"work" ? WORK ??? you just post it to the fucking world, what work
was that ???

that the internet exists makes it much easier now to be hear but
internet access doesn't exist because of governmental largesse. The
yes it does. When the government gets around to it, it will restrict
the internet as it sees fit. In the meantime we do exist because of
their largesse. Don't believe it ? I suggest you visit the "fairness

anything seen fit, including the internet. Who is for the "fairness

China isn't a warm fuzzy panda bear either. They arrest people on a

If America were as much of a dictatorship as you and Barbara Boxer seem
to think it is, then both of you would be in a Gitmo detention cell by now.
Do you know what the word "close" means?

Howabout the recent revelation that the last Surgeon General had to
mention Bush three times on each page of his papers. Bushland uber

He should be impeached to prove that the system works and that a
preseident who thumbs his nose at another branch of government gets
got. This is not a monarchy and if you were an American before you
were a Republican you'd be outraged by Bush & Cheney.

1) how do you know it's true ?
2) if being true, how do you know it's different or, much less, worse
than the previous admin ?
3) I would have thought having a SG advocating teaching
kindergartener's how to masturbate trumps some flunky bureaucrat
telling the SG to mention the prez's name (if it happened)

It's called sarcasm, chump.
But, hey, feel free to prove that "the last Surgeon General had to
mention Bush three times on each page of his papers." Fool.-
It took two minutes to find the following you lazy, right-wing fuck...
http://www.nytimes.com/2007/07/11/washington/11surgeon.html
Nothing there about having to "mention Bush three times on each page of
his papers."

Try again, Slo, you're living up to your name.

"Dr. Carmona said he was ordered to mention President Bush three times on
every page of his speeches"

Perhaps you should take reading lessons... speeches, papers. it's a fine
line. the point is he was heavily handcuffed in his job and wasn't able to
make the contribution he should have, thanks to the flat-earth, anti-
gravity Bush administration.

"Dr. Carmona said he was ordered to mention President Bush three times on

And wouldn't say who "ordered" him to do it. Exactly the sort of flimsy
"evidence" leftards seize on if it's directed against President Bush.
Exactly the sort of flimsy evidence leftards would scoff at it it were
directed against Clinton.

Not that fine at all.

the point is he was heavily handcuffed in his job...
...sez he, but he won't tell anyone who "handcuffed" him. The sort of
testimony that would be laughed out of any court of law.

Try again, fool.

Do you know what the word "close" means?
Howabout the recent revelation that the last Surgeon General had to
mention Bush three times on each page of his papers. Bushland uber
alles!
1) how do you know it's true ?
Because another leftard said it was? Slo isn't very bright but he
picked a VERY appropriate usenet name.

You must be projecting. I'm not a right-wing, lying fuck. As it
turns out though I was slightly mistaken. Carmona or Carbona or
whatever his name was had to mention Bush three times on each page of
his speeches.

Suck on this clip from the NY Times:

"
Dr. Carmona said he was ordered to mention President Bush three times
on every page of his speeches. He also said he was asked to make
speeches to support Republican political candidates and to attend
political briefings.

And administration officials even discouraged him from attending the
Special Olympics because, he said, of that charitable organization's
longtime ties to a "prominent family" that he refused to name.

"I was specifically told by a senior person, 'Why would you want to
help those people?' " Dr. Carmona said.
"

Just admit the Republican government you support is full of vile
douchebags.

Yep, you want to see "fascist" check out DemocRAT Woodrow Wilson's alien
and sedition acts. See what happened to free speech as discovered by
Eugene Debs. Then there's DemocRAT FDR, locking up American citizens in
concentration camps for no crime all. Now THAT's "fascist".

Went there, couldn't find the quote. And no matter how much I scratch
my head I cannot figure out what this alleged quote has to do with
Iron Chef.

"When fascism comes to America, it will be wrapped in
the flag and carrying a cross."
