Whatever happened to Iron Chef Symon

He seems to have disappeared. I can't say I miss him, I don't think
he was ever challenged, and his "every 30 second" maniacal giggle was
annoying as hell.

When he was a contestant on The Next Iron Chef program, he told a
female chef judge she was georgeous, she flipped out, and started
playing with her hair right on camera. She favored him after that
time.

I thought the fix was in at that time. Is that why he's gone?

He's not gone anywhere as far as I know of; they've just been using other
Iron Chefs or showing re-runs. Of course, that doesn't matter since they
seem to use Bobby Flay more than the others anyway....

And if you don't like Symon, I have some bad news for you: He's going to be
the replacement for Robert Irvine on Dinner: Impossible next season.

I'm sure the evildoers who run the Food Network tell him to emphasize
his giggling. They seem to require their employees to act
cartoonishly. I remember that Symon *started* his battle with April
Bloomfield with that damned giggle. I was happy when Bloomfield
trounce d Symon. (Her dishes did indeed look incredible.) So
Symon's now got a winning rate in the 60s, same as most of the rest of
the ICA. Only Batali remains way ahead of the pack.
